Genuinely hand-knotted in Morocco on a traditional loom, by a single weaver, using methods passed down through generations. Not factory-produced, not made to a uniform pattern.
Every piece is one of a kind. Once it is sold, it cannot be replicated.
A pile-knotted rug from Boujad in the Khouribga province. Bold compositions, saturated reds and oranges. Less copied than Azilal because fewer people know the name.
Origin. Boujad, Khouribga province, central Morocco
Technique. Pile-knotted; medium pile on wool foundation
Palette. Bold, saturated colours: deep reds, warm oranges, saffron yellows, and occasional indigo against ivory or cream grounds; the palette has an intensity that distinguishes Boujad pieces from both the spare Beni Ourain aesthetic and the denser Middle Atlas traditions
Vacuum gently and without a beater bar. Rotate periodically for even wear. Blot spills immediately — never rub. Professional cleaning only; these are natural-dye wool pieces and should never be machine washed.
A natural wool rug ages into its character. Minor shedding in the first months is normal and settles with use.
Ships worldwide from Marrakech, generally within 3–5 business days. Shipping costs are confirmed at checkout or on inquiry.
All sales are final. Transit damage is covered when reported within 48 hours of receipt.
