Genuinely hand-knotted in Morocco on a traditional loom, by a single weaver, using methods passed down through generations. Not factory-produced, not made to a uniform pattern.
Every piece is one of a kind. Once it is sold, it cannot be replicated.
The most copied Moroccan rug type. Deep pile, ivory ground, sparse geometric patterning. From the Beni Ourain tribal confederation of the Middle Atlas.
Origin. Beni Ourain tribal confederation, Middle Atlas, Morocco
Technique. Pile-knotted, symmetrical (Ghiordes) knot; wool pile on wool warp and weft
Palette. Natural undyed ivory ground with sparse geometric patterning in dark brown or near-black; occasionally with terracotta or ochre accents in older pieces
Vacuum gently and without a beater bar. Rotate periodically for even wear. Blot spills immediately — never rub. Professional cleaning only; these are natural-dye wool pieces and should never be machine washed.
A natural wool rug ages into its character. Minor shedding in the first months is normal and settles with use.
Ships worldwide from Marrakech, generally within 3–5 business days. Shipping costs are confirmed at checkout or on inquiry.
